Our history
Founded in 2015, Relectrify was born out of a PhD project centered on battery longevity at the University of Melbourne, with a focus on second-life batteries. Relectrify has since been recognised as Asia-Pacific’s leading Cleantech Company in the 2022 Global Cleantech 100. Relectrify is backed by leading strategic and financial venture investors from Australia, the US, South Korea, Portugal and Japan, with our most recent investment round led by Toyota Ventures.
Though the company is focused on first-life applications, Relectrify has proven its technology in its proprietary ReVolve® system that combines its CellSwitch™ technology with nine second-life electric vehicle batteries to store over 120kWh of energy for commercial & industrial applications. Its certification marks the first time that a commercial and industrial scale storage product using cell-level control has been certified to the internationally recognised IEC standards.
Relectrify’s team is working to fundamentally transform how battery energy systems are designed and engineered.
